The 8 Best Gronk Moments Ever

Outside of being one of the best talents the NFL has to offer, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is also one of the most entertaining figures in all of sports.

Gronk stormed onto the scene in his second season with over 1,300 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns and hasn't looked back, but it's his off-field activities that garner him so much attention in the sporting world.

How does one describe the man known as Gronk? At 24 years of age, the eccentric character has many admirers and haters alike, thanks to his partying both on and off the field.

We'll start with his on-the-field exploits, because Gronk moments featuring cleats and a helmet are actually in the minority here.

As we've already elaborated, Gronk is a heck of a football player. Standing at 6'6" and 265 pounds, Gronk creates mismatches all over the field no matter where he is lined up.

That is no more evident than when the Patriots took on the Washington Redskins, and he literally carried two defenders on his back before breaking free and gaining more yardage.

There are seemingly an endless amount of pictures around the web showing Gronk doing what Gronk does in his free time—which is party like any 24-year-old recent college grad.

Gronk is a regular at spring break parties, bars and dance competitions. It's kind of hard for him to not stick out standing at 6'6", not to mention that he likely tells anyone within earshot that he knows a guy named Tom Brady.

Joe Kinsey over at Bustedcoverage has compiled a nice gallery of photos dedicated to Gronk's shenanigans, but we've picked a couple of our favorites here.

It's not exactly one moment per se, but they're all starting to blend together anyway—like they probably do for Gronk,.

Alright, we can call this one an isolated incident. According to Gayle Fee of The Boston Herald, Gronk attended a charity event last offseason called "ZoliOke" hosted by Patriots' punter Zoltan Mesko:

Gronk, the one-man fiesta, belted out LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" and one-hit-wonder Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice Baby" after taking the stage at Royale over the weekend at Mesko's benefit for Children's Hospital.

Gonk, like he always does, stole the show. He also allegedly made some attendees very unhappy, according to Shot of Ginn. Twitter user @michtei was referenced in the report:

Gronk has never, ever been nice to the New York Jets, one of the franchises the Patriots get to face twice a year thanks to their AFC East rivalry.

In the past two years, Gronk has scored four touchdowns against the Jets, and that's while missing one of the games last season thanks to injury.

The polarizing Tim Tebow is no longer with the Jets, but how can we forget when Gronk told a crowd how he feels about Tebow, as you can see in the video above.

Don't ever say Gronk isn't a versatile player. His shenanigans extend to the locker room as well, when he interacts with the media.

In the above video, Gronk tries his hand at speaking elementary Spanish with a reporter from ESPN. It's one you've probably seen before, because it went viral once it hit the net and was played more than a Skip Bayless-led Tim Tebow rant on television.

Gronk also attempted to get his smiling mug on the cover of Madden 13 with a very persuasive video, but ended up failing. There's always next year.

Unfortunately, Gronk has had his fair share of injuries. After losing Super Bowl XLVI against the New York Giants, Gronk was supposed to be rehabbing the ankle that had hobbled him.

Attempting to outdo himself, Gronk is recovering from a forearm injury this offseason. How is he rehabbing his forearm?

According to Joe Kinsey over at Busted Coverage, Gronk has been spending his downtime in Boston by popping up as a guest bartender. Such are the luxuries of being one of the NFL's best players and personalities all wrapped into one.
