David Moyes to speak with Wayne Rooney over Stansted United future - This Guardian.

David Moyes will become work as Manchester United's manager the minute Everton's season ends with Sunday at Chelsea while using first priority to examine Wayne Rooney's future at the club. Following the striker's getting back together with Moyes three years ago you don't have lingering resentment towards her former manager so advantageous discussion is expected.

Although Moyes is contracted until the end of June at Everton before beginning officially at United on 1 July there's an easy recognition that once the season's final matches tend to be played, Moyes needs to hit the ground running for United, so from next Monday he will start the process involving driving the club in front, with Rooney, player exchange and sales, and your make-up of his backroom people priorities.

It is thought Moyes will attempt to persuade Rooney this future remains at Usa. In the close season he's going to have two years continuing to be on his current deal – the standard time that terms tend to be renewed. But if Rooney does decide he really wants to stay, as he earns near to £300, 000 a week, negotiations could be substantial.

Following Sunday's 2-1 win over Swansea City at Old Trafford that's his final home game responsible, Sir Alex Ferguson, this outgoing manager, claimed that Rooney had wanted a transfer but this United had rejected this particular. He then stated that if thez 27-year-old would remain with the club next season had been now a matter with regard to Moyes.

Of Rooney possibly not being in Ferguson's match-day team for Swansea, he stated: "I don't think Wayne was keen to play, simply because he has asked for a transfer. I think he wishes to think it through inside his mind and I think that a great idea. But we are not travelling to let him go. I just think he is maybe a bit frustrated about being taken off a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. "

Rooney was sued by Moyes for allegations in the autobiography before the Liverpudlian apologised to him in 2010. There are now no issues relating to the pair.
