Tottenham Hotspur's man of the time Gareth Bale is flattered by comparisons with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but says he's determined to create his own identity in the overall game. The 23-year-old winger has been in scintillating form in recent days, score nine occasions in six games as Spurs have climbed to third place in the Premier League and reached the last 16 in the Europa League. The Welshman's goals have taken his tally for the summer season to a career-high 19 and prompted comparisons with Real Madrid star Ronaldo, whose rate, power and free-kick power are echoed in Bale's own design of play. English media commentators have started to ask whether Bale can stand comparison with Ronaldo and his Barcelona competitor Messi, but the man at the center of the hassle says he tries to disregard the nonsense. "I believe Harry was more free and let you do what you want. Andre does that too, but there is far more tactical work. "I think it is something which is good to learn. We've done well this season and I think that's right down to our defending as well as attacking."
