Bolton starting out such as a house-on-fire today, having a 2-0 lead in the very first twenty minutes. Unfortuitously, Charlton pulled one back before half time, then got two more from a catastrophic red-card-goal-penalty sequence in the 2nd half. That wild 3 minutes cost Bolton the win. A gain could have set them within three points of a playoff spot. Bolton Wanderers desired to produce a good feeling following the global break, especially given the bad press they received this week. Dougie Freedman thought we would try this by remembering two players that probably never should have been dropped from the beginning XI in Medo Kamara and Marvin Sordell. New signing Danny Butterfield was on the table. The fact that we've signed a right back and he went right into the group makes me believe that Joe Riley and Tyrone Mears are both out for the rest of the season. Any sense does not be made by no official announcement from the club, but the signing if those people are returning. The game started out very fast, with chances on either result in the initial 5 minutes. Bolton had the higher of these, and it only took Sordell four minutes showing that he not only earned today's start, but never must have been dropped in the very first place. Bolton continued to rule control from then on, while Charlton were developing chances. Enormous old guy Ricardo Fuller was creating Wanderers some difficulty, and leader Johnnie Jackson was looking especially dangerous. But David Ngog was seeking risky for Bolton, and when his shot was deflected on the 20th minute it fell to Medo Kamara, and he repaid Freedman for the start by scoring off the post. 2-0 to Bolton. The party did not last long, as Charlton eventually took one of their many possibilities, Jackson getting the target that was clearly coming. Both parties had more possibilities, and as halftime came the 2-1 scoreline remained, nonetheless it seemed impossible that the scoring was done. And it wasn't. Tragedy hit Bolton Wanderers in the minute. First, Sam Ricketts was sent down for a second yellow card. Then Charlton scored from the coming Free stop. 2-2. Sordell went off and his Bolton debut was made by Butterfield. It did not matter. Significantly less than three minutes later Darren Pratley brought Fuller down in the package. Fee to Charlton. 3-2 to Charlton. Craig Davies came on for Chung-Yong Lee, who'd been a non-factor for the majority of the fit. The Addicks were owning after that, and Bolton appeared in peril of being left for dead. With about five minutes left in the fit, Wanderers did manage to calm down somewhat. But Charlton were still holding the ball instead perfectly and not looking really bothered by Bolton. Of after being down 2-0 can do that for you course a lead. In one last place of the dice, Pratley came off for Sanmi Odelusi. I could only picture he was told "Congrats on your introduction kid, now go get us two goals in nine minutes!" Seven minutes of extra time offered Bolton followers a bit of confidence, but all that actually seemed to accomplish was to have Craig Davies sent down. Yellow cards were got two by him in about 4 minutes, the first for stupidly shoving an opposing player while the ball was out of play. There have been several late chances for Bolton, nothing specially noteworthy although, and the Trotters meekly crawled in to it area for the long journey back again to Lancashire.
