Breaking Down Aly Raisman's Dancing with the Stars Week 4 Performance

The Olympic gold medalist had already been impressive in the first three weeks of the show, but she took it up a notch while her and partner Mark Ballas danced a contemporary to the song Titanium by David Guetta.

As USA Today's Kelly Whiteside passes along, that is the song she listened to day after day while practicing for the London Games.

Which, of course, was wildly appropriate given that the theme of the week's show is "the best year of my life." Gee, I wonder which year has been the best in Raisman's 18 years on this planet? Oh, it was 2012.

That wasn't the only thing sparking memories of Raisman's Olympic glory. Two of her golden teammates, Gabby Douglas and Kyla Ross, were in attendance, and they had to be all smiles after seeing this routine:

The judges were gushing after this performance. The pair earned a 27, their highest score yet, with a nine from each judge.

"I am very proud of you," judge Carrie Ann told the pair in a quote captured by Celeb Dirty Laundry.  "Perfection of movement is what you know. You were completely in the moment and I was mesmerized."

Raisman and Ballas only cemented their status as one of the show's favorites with this routine, and they don't just have their spectacular routines working for them.

Raisman is getting better as this competition rolls along while she learns to transfer the rigidity of gymnastic movement with the fluidity required to dance.
