Print versionOnline: http://www.thelocal.de/sport/20130401-48821.html Bayern Munich stars including Mario Gomez and Thomas MAller may end up with sore legs if all visits plan - they have offered to perform their last Bundesliga match in lederhosen if they get the title early. But Bayern need just one more point from the seven remaining Bundesliga to produce them champions. Originally Bayern wouldn't break awareness to party - there is a lot of else hanging on the team's continued performance. "Obviously it would be an incredible time but one we'd only manage to savour very briefly," the club's sporting manager Matthias Sammer told Bild newspaper on Thursday. Preserve focus for Champions League The first leg of Bayern's Champions League quarter-final against Italian winners Juventus comes a few weeks, and the group can give attention to planning for that. Yet before the deadly serious matter of trying protected the treble of Champions League and German Cup in addition to the Bundesliga, the Bavarians enables themselves and their supporters a bit of a laugh. "Assuming everything is looking good with the inventors, with no injuries or other issues, we'll play the final league match in lederhosen," defender Rafinha told Portuguese sports magazine O Jogo. The points won't be needed by "we and it will be considered a nice way to show our supporters and the world that while we're focused on winning when it matters, we may also have fun on the pitch." The Portuguese person kept coy about why the group was prepared to wear the standard Bavarian leather shorts the past fit, only divulging that it was the consequence of a "locker area bet." Should this really occur, the leather-clad Bayern players could face off on May 18th against Borussia MAnchengladbach - from the western Rhineland where lederhosen are not de rigeur. Former team medical practitioner Hans-Wilhelm MAller-Wohlfahrt said special precautions would be taken should the team opt to use lederhosen while playing. Real risk of chafing "There is just a very real danger of chafing specially for those participants whose lederhosen are not broken in. I will advise that participants grease their legs totally with goose fat prior to the match," he informed the Arzte Zeitung health practitioners' newspaper on line version at the weekend. People will need to use their basketball shirts over the straps which last the traditional leather pants. "That is a matter of safety - any accidents wouldn't be wanted by us with participants getting tangled up with each other," said MAller-Wohlfahrt. "That would not only be dangerous, it would be downright silly." Any activities playing in leather would have to be gotten over easily - the last Bundesliga match is a week prior to the Champions League final which will be played at Wembley, London on May 25th. Should Bayern success there - and then go on to get the German Cup a week later on June 1 - they would manage the famous treble, something former Bayern midfielder Franz Roth said at the end of February, the club could manage.
